Join the egg website team

Our website is growing and we are looking for more people to join our team.

For the last thirty years our small and beautiful clothing and craft stop creates two collections a year and works with some of the best craftspeople and makers around the world.
Gain experience in assisting our online customers with knowledge and grace, website administration, content planning and creation, and the running of a growing ecommerce business.
You will work within our small, multi-tasking team and have a key role supporting the growth of the website.

 
Full time posts include:

1.     Online customer sales assistant

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with client emails and customer service, and grow personal client list
  • Support the web team with seasonal content planning, assisting with deadlines and timing
  • Assist with the housekeeping of the back-end of the website
  • Daily and monthly basic sales and returns reporting
  • Organising paperwork and filing appropriately – digitally and physical copies where necessary
  • Support with any other ad-hoc projects being led by other areas within the company, including management team, art director and shop team.


 
The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • An ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work confidently with internal and external teams
  • Be reliable and hard-working
  • Be analytical with a commercial outlook and creative appreciation
  • A self-starter who likes to use their own initiative and takes ownership for their own projects and tasks
  • Ambitious with a hunger to learn, develop and take on more responsibility
  • Team Player


Skills

  • Experience and knowledge of Shopify.
  • A knowledge of online sales
  • An appreciation of egg and its culture

2.     ECommerce and digital communications assistant
 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake daily site checks to ensure the website is perfect
  • Support the web team with testing of new site fixes and features including liaising with developers and third party apps
  • Support the web team with seasonal content planning, assisting with deadlines and timing
  • Assist with the product image creation and uploading
  • Assist with creating and editing online content, newsletters, navigation, new web pages, photography
  • Assist with the housekeeping of the back-end of the website
  • Daily and monthly basic sales and returns reporting
  • Organising paperwork and filing appropriately – digitally and physical copies where necessary
  • Support with any other ad-hoc projects being led by other areas within the company, including management team, art director and shop team.
